David is a seasoned Family Law financial expert with over three decades of experience in forensic accounting and divorce-related financial matters. As the founder of Cantor Forensic Accounting, PLLC, David is the only CPA/ABV, CFL, CDFA® in Arizona who dedicates 100% of his practice to family law accounting. He brings this unparalleled depth of knowledge and commitment to his role as a Financial Neutral with the Parent Team.
David’s approach as a Financial Neutral is grounded in clarity, transparency, and collaboration. He helps clients understand the financial landscape of their divorce, from income determination and business valuation to separate property tracing and reimbursement claims. His extensive courtroom experience—having testified over 250 times as an expert witness—underscores his ability to present complex financial information in a clear and credible manner.
David began his career in 1984 after earning a B.B.A. from Marshall University. He worked in both California and Arizona, including a long tenure at Gursey, Schneider & Co., where he became a partner in one of the nation’s leading forensic accounting firms. He later founded Cantor Forensic Accounting in 2011 and became the owner of Smarter Divorce Solutions in 2024, where he continues to support clients through the financial aspects of divorce.
David is actively involved in the collaborative divorce community and serves with the Collaborative Professionals of Phoenix. He is a frequent lecturer and published author on family law financial topics, respected by peers and professionals alike.
