Brandyn Roark Caires is the Co-Founder and deeply caring creative developer of Parent Team, where she serves as a mediator, Child Development and Family Systems expert, Collaborative Divorce professional, and Certified Conscious Uncoupling Coach, personally trained and mentored by Katherine Woodward Thomas. She works with families and professionals worldwide, helping parents create child-centered parenting plans and navigate separation through a neutral, non-adversarial lens that prioritizes children's well-being.
With over 23 years of experience, Brandyn's background spans community mental health, hospital settings, school-based systems, and private practice. Witnessing the impact of conflict-driven divorce on children led her to co-found Parent Team with a mission to shift families away from adversarial systems toward a more child-centered, restorative process that supports attachment, development, and long-term family functioning.
She specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and families, integrating attachment science, family systems, and performance psychology. A former professional athlete, she also works with elite athletes globally in performance and mental resilience.
An accredited Collaborative Divorce practitioner, Brandyn is a leader in interdisciplinary training, educating professionals across the U.S. and internationally on co-parenting, mediation, and protecting children from parental conflict. She is the co-author of Keeping Your Kids Out of the Middle, a widely used workbook and course adopted by schools, nonprofits, and university programs, including Montana State University's Human Development Clinic.
